THE OTHER SEPTEMBER 11TH ATTACK

No Pastor's article November 15, due to World Mission Emphasis. The Pastor's article will return next week.

TODAY IS NATIONAL ADOPTION SUNDAY

Last January we launched Hope for 100, which is our ministry to Make A Difference in the lives of 100 orphans through adoption or foster care. You'll be excited to learn today how far toward that goal we have already come!

WILL BE RECOGNIZING ALL OUR ADOPTIVE FAMILIES

this morning as well. Even before we started Hope for 100, there were dozens of families in our congregation who knew the joy of adopting children. We will be having a special time of prayer and dedication for these families this morning.

COMPLETE THE JOY

is in full swing! There will be a lot of joy when we complete our $40 million expansion project, but our JOY won't be complete until we can pay for it. Last Sunday we started receiving special offerings to our Building Program to payoff this construction. Remember, every dollar we pay in cash means another dollar of God's money we can invest in missions and ministry instead of paying interest. During this month I'm asking every GABC member and at tender to make a one-time sacrificial offering to our Building Program. I also want you to pray about making regular gifts to our Building Fund in 2010. We will continue to receive Complete the Joy Offerings during November, and on December 6, I'll report how God has blessed us through this effort. If you haven't participated yet, you'll find special envelopes in the pews, or just write "Building Fund" on any envelope.

"WIN-TERIZE" YOUR CAR

Our W.I.N. Ministry stands for "Widows In Need." W.I.N. is offering a free car checkup for widows next Saturday, November 14, from 10:00 a.m.--2:00 p.m. in the Lighthouse Parking Lot. Qualified volunteers will be checking fluids, tire pressure, and performing a general check-up for widows' cars. Ladies, you don't have to sign up or make a reservation, just show up with your car and it will be "WIN-terized." For more information about volunteering for WIN or finding a volunteer to help you, call the WIN hotline at 903-525- 3290.

AS YOU'RE READING

these words, I'm leading a group of 50 travelers from Texas through the Holy Land. We started our Sunday with a worship service on the shore of the beautiful Sea of Galilee--the very area where Jesus taught and ministered. Pray for our group as we return this week. I look forward to being back with you next Sunday.

I LOVE YOU WITH THE LOVE OF THE LORD!
