| 12-week Seminar
The Nearly & Newly Wed Leadership Team is led by Cindy Dykes, our Pastor's wife. In an insightful and humorous way, Cindy speaks the truth and helps each couple face the realities of their decision to marry.
This three-month course is offered twice a year. In a room full of engaged or newly weds, couples learn about communication skills, conflict resolution, financial management, decision making, role responsibilities, sexual intimacy, and dealing with in-laws. Where does the Nearly/Newly Weds Class meet?
The Fall 2009 session is September 13—November 22 in FLC 207 at 9:45 a.m. (Fall sessions begin in September, Spring sessions begin in March. Dates will be announced.)
Who is the Nearly/Newly Weds Class for?
This class is geared toward young adults engaged or married less than two years. The typical ages are in their 20s and 30s.
Does this class have a fee?
No! This is a free class, just like all the Sunday Morning Bible Studies GABC offers.

What if we desire counseling outside the Nearly/Newly Weds Class?
GABC offers marriage and family counseling. Please call 903-533-1817 for more information.
Where is the Marriage & Family office located?
We are located on the second floor of the Xerox Building at 2737 S. Broadway.
What is In-Law/Out-Law Day?
This is a special Sunday set aside for the class participants and their parents. We invite the families to join us for a sit-down brunch at the church. A humorous lesson is presented on the adventures of being an in-law and how to avoid being an "out law."
What topics does the Nearly/Newly Weds Class cover?
We offer a variety of topics, each with a biblical foundation, including: Who cleans the commode? Combat Training, Financial Advice, His Needs/Her Needs and Spiritual Unity.
Does the Nearly/Newly Weds meet outside the class?
Yes! We have socials and fellowships several times during the course of each session.
Can I come to the Nearly/Newly Weds Class if I'm not a GABC member?
Certainly! You are free to attend our worship or leave after our class to attend worship at the church of your choice.
What if I miss the beginning of the session?
We offer videos for the sessions you miss.
